Delete Your Account
We respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how to request deletion of your Spivvy account and what happens to your data when you do.
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: In-App Deletion (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account:
- Open the Spivvy app
- Go to your Profile tab
- Tap the Settings icon (gear)
- Scroll down and tap Delete Account
- Confirm your decision
Your account will be deleted immediately.
Option 2: Email Request
If you cannot access the app, send an email to:
Please include the email address associated with your account and use the subject line "Account Deletion Request". We will process your request within 7 business days and confirm via email.
What Data Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your profile information (name, username, profile picture)
- Your listings and listing images
- Your saved items and folders
- Your messages and conversations
- Your offer history
- Your notification preferences
- Your push notification tokens
What Data May Be Retained
For legal and financial compliance, we may retain:
- Transaction records: Payment history and transaction details are retained for 7 years for tax and legal purposes
- Reviews: Reviews you have left for other users may be anonymized and retained
- Abuse reports: If your account was involved in policy violations, records may be retained for safety purposes
Important Notes
- Active transactions: You cannot delete your account while you have pending offers or active rentals. Please complete or cancel these first.
- Irreversible: Account deletion is permanent. You will need to create a new account if you wish to use Spivvy again.
- Stripe data: Payment information stored by Stripe is subject to their data retention policies.
