Yes. Spivvy never sees or stores your card number. All payments are handled by Stripe, the same technology behind Amazon, Apple, and millions of other apps. Your card info never touches our servers.
Stripe is one of the most trusted payment companies in the world. They handle the financial side of things for companies like Amazon, Google, and Shopify. We use them so your sensitive info never has to come near us.
When you sell something, Stripe needs a place to send your money. Connecting a bank account or debit card is how Stripe gets your payout to you directly. Spivvy never has access to your banking credentials.
Nope. Your card number goes straight to Stripe and stays there. We only store a reference ID that lets us process payments without ever seeing your actual card details.
Payments are held securely until a transaction is confirmed, so your money is protected the whole time. If anything goes sideways, reach out to support@spivvy.app and we will sort it out.
Everyone on Spivvy is verified through their university email. We also have reviews, secure payments, and an in-app dispute process to keep things fair. We always recommend meeting in a public spot on campus.
